My homecoming week was....not so good. I did not participate in any of the homecoming activity. On Saturday, I went to homecoming with my friend from North and my cousin. I didn't have lots of fun because mostly nobody was dancing. If they were dancing....they weren't so good at it? Also there were many rude people who thinks they can ruin someone's night just by making fun of how people dance and etc. Also it was kind of awkward because there were many teachers walking around the dance floor. PLUS BACON WAS THERE! Then another thing is that the songs played was just a big NO. Lets just say that I didn't enjoy homecoming at all. To be honest this is my opinion about the homecoming dance, but other people might have their own opinion about it,

This weekend my mom started helping me prepare for the homecoming. On Saturday, I went homecoming dress shopping with my friend Lexi and cousin Kelly. I bought many dresses, heels and jewelry. We went to Oak Park and stayed there for about five hours, shopping and looking for nice dresses. Then on Sunday, my mom took my friends and I to this salon to get our makeup done. It was fun because I got to hangout with my friends. My friends and I talked about what is happening in my previous school, BVN. That pretty much sums up my weekend.

Friday, September 19th

Now that you are several weeks in to this class and have coded one (super small) website, what do you think? What are your thoughts on web design? Is it what you thought it would be? Is it better? Worse? What's your favorite part? What's your least favorite part? Explain.

After these several weeks, I am still struggling with couple of things. I noticed when we start a new coding page on notepad ++, I forget about how to start and what I should be doing. Also I am not good at css coding. I think this class is a very fun class because I get to learn new codes everyday. Plus I think it is very cool how we can get to make our own website. In my opinion this class will be hopeful for those students that are interested in doing some work involving codes. No, I didn't think that we will be making our own website. I just thought that we will just be learning the codes. It is better because I can learn quicker when I get to work on it. My favorite part was working on the Code Academy because it show me through all the steps. My least favorite part was the beginning code for the html and css.

What is the importance of deadlines? How do high school deadlines reflect or simulate "real world" experience? Give an example of when you met or or didn't meet a deadline that was important.

The importance of deadlines is that it helps people be on time. It helps things to get done on time so accidents or things wouldn't happen. The high school deadlines reflect the real world experience is that it gives a view of how things will be done in the real world. Also it shows us how many jobs are going to require a deadline. One time during middle school, I knew there were going to be a big project about the job I job-shadowed, but I was too lazy to do it so by the day I need to turn it in I didn't have anything. It was quite embarrassing because I was one of the first people who needs to present my power-point.

A time in my life that related to this quote is when I completely gave up on myself. Every time when I get extremely overwhelmed by stress and pressure I tend to shut down myself, and give up on things that are important. As this quote said if I prepare to fail then of course I will fail. So every time I feel like giving up I would go to either of my parents and cry or talk to them about my condition. They would often tell me by giving up isn't the answer, by facing your problems that is how it will lead you to success. I remember one time I was so overwhelmed by school I just completely stop trying to do my best on studying which didn't end well. It was a lesson to learn because without studying you know you will fail the test, but I didn't care. I was so stressed to the point I didn't care about good grades or making my parents feel proud of me.

Monday, September 15th

During this weekend, I send my mom off to the airport because she will be going to New York for two days. I helped my mom pack and get ready. After, my dad brought our family to the airport to make sure my mom got on the airplane safely. It was hard being at home without my mom cooking for us. We missed her very much and it felt weird without seeing her at home with us. My and us exchanged phone calls everyday to check up on each other.

On Sunday, my cousins and I baked our favorite type of sweets. We made brownies and chocolate cake. The desserts were delicious. The hard part about baking is that we need to clean up. I am not a big fan of cleaning up so I just stood there watching my cousins clean. Afterwards, we went out and went shopping at Oak Park Mall. There we stayed in the food court eating and gossiping about the things that is happening around us.

In my opinion, this quote is telling us to go out and experience life instead of sitting there doing nothing. Also don't complain about being bored when you can easily do something that you enjoy. Instead of being bored, I would find many things to entertain me. Sometimes if I don't have anything to do I would practice my piano or spam my friends with text messages or pictures. Also, there are many people who couldn't experience a free life because they might be too sick to move or paralyzed preventing them from doing the things they enjoy. So don't complain just use your brain and think.

How do you express your creativity? Explain.



I express creativity through singing. I enjoy singing to different type of musics such as pop,country,R&B, and etc. Through singing I can express my emotions and feelings. While singing it makes me feel free and that I can communicate with the people around me. I have practiced many different songs and some are in other languages. I often sing to my family members and close friends. I have been in choir for most of my life, but this year I quit because I wanted to get all my technology credits. During my free time I will usually listen to music and try to sing along with it.

This weekend, I hang out with my friends in Town Center and practice my piano. On Saturday, I went to Town Center with my friends Lexi, Abby, and Kelly. During our stay there we went shopping for new clothes and watch a movie. We had pizza for lunch and ice cream for dessert. We had a awesome time together. Hanging out with them made me miss my old school and friends even more. On Sunday, I stayed home with my mom and younger brother. I helped my mom pack for her trip to New York. Then my brother and I was drop off at my piano teacher's house. There I listen to my brother play the piano before I went. I wasn't very happy about going to the lesson since I have no interest in playing the piano. When my dad came back home from work we went to Wal-Mart to buy more snacks for my brother. We also bought more food since our fridge was half empty. I had a great time with my parents since I rarely get to hang out with them

Kids these days are so into the social media sites and parties which made it different from when I was growing up as a child. These days kids are always on their phone,texting and playing with the newest things game. They wouldn't pay attention to anything but the tiny little screen in front of them. During our time. kids would be outside playing with whatever they can find. We were always moving around, while these kids lay around in bed or the couch playing on their technology device.

So far in class, I have learn a few ways to make a webpage look better. I learned how to create my own webpage with my class schedules. I also learned how to be better at coding stuffs. For example, <strong> to bold the letters and <em> to make the letters italic. I also learned the basic like creating a list by using <ul> and <ol>. The best part about this is changing the style of the code, by adding colors,size and font.

Yes, I would like to learn more about coding because this would help me create my own personal webpage. I also want to keep learning it because coding are pretty fun to play with when I'm bored. Also maybe in the future I might be able to help someone with coding to make an website. By the end of the semester, I would like to be able to create my own website. I would also like to master in coding and be able to read all the codes.

This weekend I stayed home the whole time. My cousin Sophie came over to my house to celebrate her sixteenth birthday. Our parents bought her a cookie cake,which was the best part of the party. Then the next day my brother and I stayed home,while our parents went off to work. At home, I practiced my piano and played on my phone. During the whole weekend I wasn't feeling well. I have been sick for about two weeks which frustrated me.Then when my cousin spammed my snapchat I got super angry at her, she thought it was funny, but to me I thought it was just plain annoying. I can say I pretty much did nothing fun or exciting this weekend which sucks since it was a THREE day weekend. I am not an extremely active person so I think it was better being at home,snuggled up in my bed. That is pretty much how my Labor Day weekend was.
